~Mother's Day ~

First off, Happy Mother's Day to all mothers (past, present and future).

There is one thing that will get me through even the worst day. Well, there are two things that aren't really things. While both girls can get a bit annoying (especially Miss K with her constant 'But WHY...?!?' and other nonstop talking) they can always make me smile. Both love to hug and cuddle and as little as they are they always seem to sense when I need that extra hug, kiss or tickle.

Not a day goes by where they don't amaze me. They are so different in personality and looks. Yet seeing them together melts anyone's heart. They love each other and Miss K will randomly go up to her little sister for a hug and/or kiss.

Without further ado, let me introduce our two girls: Miss K who is 3 1/2 years old and Little K who is 13 months.

When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.
~ Sophia Loren

I am thankful every day for these two blessings in my life. I can just hope that I am doing my job as a mom to the best of my abilities and that while we might not be able to have the newest gadgets and clothes for them that they will know that they are loved and that they will know that we love them for just who they are no matter what that will turn out to be.

Happy Mother's Day to you, Kris!
Your blog made me remember when I was a single mom and I didn't have much to spend on Christmas presents. I bought a couple of things and wrapped them up in lots of tissue and ribbons. The tissue and ribbons were the hit! The kids played with them more than the xylophone and whatever the other thing was- I don't remember what it was now. They taped the paper to them like capes the ribbons were like crowns.
It WAS the thought that counted and they were very happy. It sounds like you are providing more than enough to your beautiful children.
Love goes a long way!
xx kris
