I'm just stopping by our home real quick to pick up something. They put DH in the ICU which meant that I only got to see him for a few minutes while his social worker/case worker watched Miss K for me. He was very irritable but still willing to go in for treatment. They are still waiting for an open bed What irritated me was that they did NOT give him ANY of his meds!!! Not last night and not this morning. Are you kidding me??? You have a patient that has sever mental health issues and was (and still is suicidal) and you don't give him the medication he needs??? They didn't move him from the ER to ICU until 11pm last night. And when he asked for aspirin because he had a bad headache they didn't even give him that.
So after talking to his nurse and social worker I went to the information deck to ask to speak to the patient advocate. THEY DON'T HAVE ONE!!! What hospital does not have a patient advocate? Not only that but they looked at me as if I had three heads when I asked. I only left because they finally agreed to give DH his meds but they don't have one of them in their formulary so I have to pick it up at home and bring it in.
ETA: DH's grandparents are leaving soon to make the 6 hour drive to pick up Miss K.
